Dammit Steve,

I hate written homework. I’ve always hated written homework.  The only time I did written homework was if it involved a subject I was very familiar with.   So, you’ve hit the right button.   I‘m quite familiar with my life, even if my wife doesn’t think so.

After graduation in ’63 I attended Rochester Institute of Technology. John Miller, Tom Williams, Al Perry and John Balling also enrolled that year. After graduation in ’67, I moved to Chicago for a year where I worked for Continental Can and then to Pearl River, NY for 4 years where I worked for a drug (pharmaceutical) company. In 1972 I moved back to Cortland and started a printing business. In ’73 married a red-haired Irish girl (Delia) I worked with in Pearl River. We had a son (James) in 1974. We moved to Homer in 1976 and had a daughter (Jennifer) in ’78.

James and his wife Molly live in Homer and have blessed us with an adorable and smart grandson in Jan. ’06. My wife Delia takes care of Riley three days a week and I look forward to “breakfast with Riley” on those 3 days. The other 2 days she works at the printing business. Jennifer lives on Long Island and got married in September ’06 to a young man (Tom) she met at work (the same pharmaceutical company where her mother and I met).

I got bitten by the political bug in the ‘70’s and served 8 years as a Homer Village Trustee and then 10 years as a Homer Town Board member. In 1999 I ran for Cortland County Treasurer and won. I was re-elected in 2003 and will be running for my third term in 2007. It can be fun at times and a real bear at other times. I still have the printing business, but have scaled back some the last couple of years.

It has been great that Barb and you have worked on getting this site going and maintained. It is fun to see how much we have all grown and where we have all moved to (or not).
