I have lived in Santa Fe, N.M. since 1975. I own my own business, A Plus Accounting Services, specializing in income tax prep. I also substitute teach at the Santa Fe Indian School during off season and have fund-raised for a community rehab program for the mentally ill homeless for over a decade.
When not working, I cook on my wood cookstove; especially over the holiday season; am learning to shoot a bow and arrow, snow shoe, garden, mall walk, and work on my demanding fixer-upper adobe. The house is heated by pellet stove and wood.
Living in New Mexico is traditional and culturally influenced. We eat lots of chile. I also own a one room house in Chimayo, N.M. It is located in the oldest Spanish Colonial Plaza in N.M., 400 years old.
I went to the School of Hard Knocks. I also graduated from SUNY at Oswego in 1967 with a B.S. in Math Ed followed by a M.S. in Math Ed from Oswego in 1970. I taught middle school Math in Liverpool, N.Y. from 1967-1973. I then moved to Denver, Co. and went back to school to study accounting. I graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the College of Santa Fe in 1978.
I love Southern California and travel to the beaches and Catalina Island, usually twice a year. I travel to Cortland about every two years. Oh yes, I am an avid Amtrak fan. I love the views and the slow pace.
I am very grateful to have been raised in Cortland. I have very fond memories of high school, my favorite being Senior Day. I wish every one of my classmates health and happiness. Let me know when you're passing this way. We'll take lots of pictures for Steve!
